They passed away before they could celebrate their success… 4 schoolgirls who died in the Regional Road accident had passed their preparatory certificate exams. Ask ChatGPT
The joy of success turned into mourning… Preparatory schoolgirls from Menoufia lost their lives just before celebrating their exam results.
Fate did not allow the students Jana, Israa, Doaa, and Toka from Kafr El-Sanabsa village in Menouf Center, Menoufia Governorate, to celebrate their preparatory certificate results. Their dreams were tragically cut short in a devastating accident on the Regional Road, as they lost their lives in a horrific collision while returning from a long day of work at a grape farm.
The girls had been working long hours for a daily wage that didn’t exceed 130 EGP (around $2.70), in hopes of covering their needs before starting secondary school. Despite their difficult circumstances, they held onto hope for a better future, eagerly awaiting their exam results. But the cruelty of the accident robbed their families of the joy of that anticipated day.

Doha Taqi, victim of the Regional Road accident.
Doaa Hemam El-Hefnawy received a total score of 202 (72%), while Jana Yehia Fawzy Khalil earned 250.5 marks. Toka Mohamed Ahmed El-Gohary scored 221, and Israa Sabah Abdel Wahab El-Hefnawy achieved the highest among them with 269.5.
According to Doaa’s family, she had finished her third preparatory grade exams only days earlier and was anxiously awaiting her results. She had decided to work in order to buy her own mobile phone before starting secondary school.
The accident took place on the Regional Road in the Ashmoun area when the microbus carrying the girls collided with a heavy transport truck. The crash claimed the lives of 19 girls — all from Kafr El-Sanabsa — and injured three others, in a heartbreaking scene that shook the entire governorate.
Grief continues to grip the community, with prayers offered for the victims and hopes for recovery for the injured. There have been widespread calls for urgent preventive measures to avoid such tragedies in the future.
