Residents of Shebin El Qanater mourned the funeral of three young men who died in an accident on the Regional Road, amid widespread sorrow.
Hundreds of residents of Shebin El Qanater city in Qalyubia Governorate held a solemn funeral procession for three young men from the city who lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Regional Road near Belbeis while on their way to work. Amid a sorrowful atmosphere filled with prayers for mercy and forgiveness, the locals described the victims as "martyrs of earning a living" due to their daily struggle to provide for their families.
Funerals and scenes of grief in the city
The three funeral processions started from Al-Jabsa Mosque in Shebin El Qanater after the funeral prayer, carrying the bodies of: "Mohamed Saber Mohamed Sabry Madbouly Al-Tanany," known as "Mohamed Ruby," "Abdelkhalek Yasser Abdelkhalek Ali Eldin," and "Mohamed Farouk Fahmy," known as "Mohamed Farouk Al-Nas." These moments turned into a symbol of sorrow and mourning in the city, with tears filling the eyes of the families and residents who bid farewell to their loved ones with heartfelt words, expressing deep pain over the loss of young men in the prime of their lives who were simply seeking their livelihood but are no longer with us.


Residents’ demands for road safety and accident prevention
In light of this tragedy, residents called on the concerned authorities to open an urgent investigation to determine the causes of the painful accident, stressing the need for immediate measures to secure highways, especially those frequently used by workers and drivers daily. They emphasized the importance of ensuring citizens' safety to prevent the recurrence of such disasters that shake the community and cause it to lose some of its dearest members.
