First Baby Born via AI-Assisted IVF: A Breakthrough in Reproductive Medicine
The world witnesses the birth of the first baby through AI-assisted IVF, marking a new milestone in infertility treatment and raising ethical questions about technology's role in reproduction.
In Guadalajara, Mexico, history was made with the birth of the first baby through artificial insemination assisted by artificial intelligence (AI IVF), a major breakthrough in reproductive medicine and infertility treatment.
The procedure was carried out using a precision robot controlled by scientists in New York through an AI-based system, injecting a single sperm into an egg with extreme accuracy, without direct human intervention.
The robot, developed by the American company Conceivable Life Sciences, performed the procedure through 23 meticulously programmed steps, from selecting the optimal sperm to the microinjection process. Five eggs were fertilized, four developed into healthy embryos, and the second embryo transfer resulted in a full-term pregnancy, leading to the birth of a healthy baby boy.
Higher accuracy, lower costs:
Experts note that AI-assisted techniques can reduce human error, increase success rates, and lower costs. Advanced algorithms help identify the best sperm and the most viable embryos, making the process more precise and replicable worldwide.
Hope for infertile couples:
Over 48 million couples globally face infertility challenges, making this development a beacon of hope for those seeking parenthood without repeated, costly, and stressful attempts.
Ethical considerations:
The breakthrough also raises ethical and legal questions about AI’s role in selecting embryos and who bears responsibility in case of errors. Experts emphasize that human oversight remains essential to balance technological progress with ethical responsibility, supported by clear regulatory guidelines.
Since the birth of “Louise Brown” in 1978, the IVF field has not seen a revolution like this. The birth of the first AI-assisted baby marks a new chapter blending science, programming, and human hope.
Regular health screening is one of the most important steps to maintain good health and detect diseases early. The essential medical checkups for every age help in preventing complications and ensuring a healthier life.
Many people, after doing medical tests, receive their results and immediately start looking at numbers and unfamiliar terms like (High – Low – Normal) without fully understanding what they actually mean.
When dealing with medical services, many people come across different titles for doctors such as “Specialist” and “Consultant”, which can sometimes create confusion about what each title actually means and how they differ from each other.
Choosing the right time to visit a doctor is not a random decision. It can directly affect how quickly a condition is diagnosed and how effective the treatment will be. Many people delay visiting a doctor or go at the wrong time, which may lead to worsening symptoms or delayed care.
