Civil Defense and River Rescue teams recovered the body of a child from the Ibrahimiya Canal near Manfalut Bridge in Assiut after authorities received a report of a body floating in the water.

Major General Wael Nassar, Director of Assiut Security, received a report from Manfalut Police Station after the emergency operations room was notified of a floating body in the canal.
Police officers, ambulance crews, and river rescue teams immediately responded to the scene and successfully recovered the body.
