During the prosecution's investigation, the defendant admitted carrying out the attack, saying that he assaulted his ex-wife after she refused to return their daughter to his home.

He also referred to repeated disputes between them and stated that he had previously divorced her seven times.

Repeated Family Disputes

The defendant said that his ex-wife's brothers had accompanied him to religious authorities, where they reportedly stated that the divorces had occurred while he was angry, after which she returned to him following the payment of a ransom, according to his statements in the investigation.

He added that after their latest dispute following Ramadan, her family and brothers intervened, and she left the home with their daughter.
