The family said a 26-year-old man who works as a sales representative had proposed to Maryam, but they rejected the proposal, citing her young age and what they described as the man’s unstable financial situation.
The family later discovered that Maryam had left their home and switched off her phone, making it impossible for them to contact her or determine her whereabouts.

A family member said they managed to locate the home address of the young man who had previously proposed to Maryam. He reportedly lives in the Al-Bayadiya Center in Luxor Governorate.
The family member said he met the young man’s mother, who reportedly told him that Maryam had been with her son and that he intended to hold a wedding ceremony for the two of them. However, she said she did not know where they were afterward.
