The Cairo Economic Court has scheduled February 21 for the first hearing of the former manager of singer Sherine Abd-Wahab’s accounts, accused of taking control of her personal accounts and attempting to sell them for profit.
The authorities referred the accused, M.M.H., to urgent trial in Case No. 455 of 2025 Economic Misdemeanors, registered as Case No. 241 of 2026 Financial Misdemeanors, before the Cairo Economic Misdemeanor Court.
Sherine Abd-Wahab’s lawyer, Yasser Qantoush, denied rumors about selling or transferring the artist’s official social media accounts, confirming that all accounts remain fully owned by the singer.
Qantoush emphasized that any content currently published on her accounts, including YouTube, TikTok, or X, is unauthorized, and legal actions will be taken against anyone using the accounts without permission.
The statement noted that these measures are part of ongoing investigations into the former accounts manager, who allegedly seized the “Sherine Abd-Wahab” YouTube channel and profited from it unlawfully.
Separately, the Economic Misdemeanor Appellate Court upheld Sherine Abd-Wahab’s acquittal from charges of insulting and defaming her former account manager.
