Egypt's Ministry of Interior authorities arrested three people, two of whom have criminal records, for allegedly running two unlicensed factories in Khanka, Qalyubia.

The factories were reportedly used to produce and package counterfeit agricultural fertilizers and pesticides using raw materials of unknown origin before selling the products in local markets for illegal profits.

Authorities Monitor the Suspects' Activity

The General Administration of Environmental and Water Bodies Police, operating under the Specialized Police Sector, monitored the suspects' activities in coordination with the relevant Interior Ministry authorities.

Investigations indicated that the suspects were producing and packaging counterfeit fertilizers and agricultural pesticides using unidentified raw materials and preparing them for distribution in the markets.

850 Tons of Products and Raw Materials Seized

Following the completion of the required legal procedures, security forces raided the two factories and arrested the individuals responsible for managing them.

A search of the facilities resulted in the seizure of approximately 850 tons of finished products and raw materials allegedly used to manufacture counterfeit agricultural fertilizers and pesticides.

Authorities also found two complete production lines inside the factories, along with large quantities of products and materials used in the illegal activity.
