Authorities have launched an investigation into an incident involving three children found living in neglect inside a residential apartment in the Al-Monira Al-Gharbia area, following an official report submitted by the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood to the public prosecution.
The case came to light after a complaint was filed by a woman who reported that children were residing in an apartment under poor living conditions, with a clear absence of basic care and a lack of essential needs such as food, raising serious concerns about their well-being and safety.
Security forces promptly moved to the scene to inspect the apartment, where three children were found living with their mother. Initial observations indicated signs of neglect, and it was also noted that two of the children suffer from special health conditions related to disabilities. Additionally, one of the children was found to have visible injuries.
During questioning, the mother explained that she lives alone following a separation from her husband and is required to work long hours outside the home, which forces her to leave her children unattended for extended periods during the day. She stated that one of the injuries resulted from an accidental incident that occurred while she was away.
Legal procedures were taken, and the mother along with the children were referred to the relevant investigative authorities to complete the examination of the case and take the necessary actions based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
