The Cairo New Appeals Court has upheld a 30-year prison sentence against a defendant widely known as the “car fraudster,” following his conviction in 10 cases related to issuing bounced checks.
The defendant reportedly used upscale offices and seemingly legitimate contracts to create an illusion of credibility, which led to significant financial losses for numerous victims.
The court’s decision highlights the importance of strict legal action against financial fraud, aiming to protect public trust in commercial transactions and deter similar crimes in the future.
