According to the victim’s family’s legal defense, the defendants include the restaurant owner and six members of its staff, in addition to another defendant. They face charges related to intentional killing.

Prosecutors heard statements from Hazem Hamdan’s family, who said the victim had gone to the restaurant in an attempt to arrange a friendly meeting to resolve a dispute between his cousin and one of the restaurant employees.

The family said the earlier dispute had resulted in the employee suffering a cut wound to the neck before Hazem went to the restaurant in an effort to settle the disagreement peacefully.

Restaurant Fight Ends in Hazem Hamdan’s Death

According to the family’s statements, Hazem Hamdan was waiting for the restaurant owner when a confrontation allegedly broke out with several employees.

The family alleged that one of the employees suddenly stabbed Hazem in the thigh, causing an injury to a major tendon and severe bleeding. He later died before efforts to save his life could succeed.
