Egyptian security authorities have revealed the circumstances surrounding a viral video that appeared to show a minibus driver attempting to kidnap a woman in Alexandria.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the incident was not a kidnapping attempt but stemmed from a domestic dispute between the woman and her husband.

Complaint Filed

Police said that on July 15, the victim, a housewife living in Alexandria, reported that her husband assaulted her following a marital dispute.

She suffered bruising around her left eye during the altercation.
