The Ninth Circuit of the Alexandria Criminal Court on Sunday postponed the trial of a man accused of killing his ex-wife inside her family home in the Al-Zahriya area.

The court scheduled the next hearing for October 26 to complete procedures for adding the seized evidence to the case file ahead of further proceedings and the prosecution’s closing arguments.

Alexandria Court Decision

The decision was issued under the presidency of Judge Ahmed Fahmy Mohamed Younes, with Judges Youssef Saad Ahmed Hussein Abu Zeid, Ahmed Hassan Hassan Hamouda, and Ahmed Abdel Warith Fares, Vice President of the Court.

The case concerns allegations that a man killed his ex-wife inside her family home in Al-Zahriya, while her parents were also injured during the incident.

Evidence Seized in the Case

During Sunday’s hearing, a request was made to add the case-related evidence to the official file.

The seized items reportedly include a knife and a hammer, in addition to three whips that were found inside the defendant’s bag.

Why the Evidence Was Added to the Case File

According to lawyer Magdy Saeed, who represents the victim’s side, adding the seized items to the case file will allow the defendant’s defense team and the civil claimants to examine the evidence.
