Teacher Arrested in Al-Ahram (Giza) Accused of Assaulting 8-Year-Old Student
Al-Ahram police in Giza arrested a teacher after the mother of an 8-year-old student filed a complaint saying her son refused to attend school, claiming he had been assaulted by a teacher during the last academic year. The suspect confessed and the Public Prosecution is investigating.
The Ministry of Interior reported that on October 1st Al-Ahram Police Department received a complaint from a housewife — the guardian of an eight-year-old pupil — stating that her son refused to go to school, alleging he had been assaulted by a teacher during the previous academic year.
Police investigators identified and arrested the accused teacher within the same district. When questioned, the suspect admitted to committing the act as described in the complaint. Legal measures were immediately taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
Authorities stressed that the matter is being handled according to legal and administrative procedures to ensure the child’s protection and a full, impartial inquiry.
