The Cairo Economic Court has scheduled a hearing on April 20 to consider the appeal filed by the blogger known as “Madahim,” challenging the ruling that sentenced him to one year in prison and imposed a fine of 100,000 EGP for charges related to publishing visual content described as indecent on social media platforms.
The case dates back to accusations against Mohamed Khaled, known as “Madahim,” for publishing and broadcasting clips on his TikTok accounts on and before August 2, 2025. These clips reportedly included suggestive expressions, actions, and statements deemed to violate public morals and ethics.
According to investigation documents and technical reports from relevant authorities, including the Information Technology Investigation Department and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, the content in question was considered indecent and was intentionally published through his personal accounts.
Investigators also accused the defendant of creating and using these accounts to carry out the alleged acts, which the prosecution classified as a public indecent act committed via the internet.
The court is set to review the appeal at the scheduled session on April 20.
