Authorities Arrest Owners of 9 Overseas Employment Companies for Fraud
Security forces arrested owners of 9 unlicensed overseas employment companies in Menoufia after proving their involvement in defrauding citizens and seizing money.
Investigations by the Public Security Sector, in coordination with the General Directorate of Work Permits, revealed that 9 unlicensed companies for overseas employment in Menoufia were involved in defrauding citizens and seizing money by claiming to provide work abroad, misleading people about their ability to secure contracts, and promoting their activities on social media.
Following proper procedures, authorities arrested 9 company owners and managers, including two with prior criminal records. Items seized included passports, employment contracts, company stamps, laptops, and 2 computer processors.
Legal actions were taken against the suspects. This comes as part of the Ministry of Interior's efforts to combat fraud and protect citizens from scams related to overseas employment.
