Cairo Civil Defense successfully brought under control a minor fire at the automated slaughterhouse in Maadi, following a report received by the emergency operations room.
Investigations revealed that the fire erupted in foam waste used for refrigerator production over an area of about 400 square meters on open ground, with no threat to nearby buildings.
Firefighting teams contained the flames from all directions and completely extinguished and cooled the fire, with no casualties reported. An official report was filed, and authorities are continuing investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
