Investigators have ordered the detention of content creator Karawan Mashakel and a cafe owner in Nasr City for 4 days pending investigation, after videos and messages circulated on social media showing invitations to a party held on Monday, 16th of this month at the cafe.
Investigations revealed that the cafe, located in Nasr City’s first police district, was rented for the celebration without official permits and without specifying the number of attendees or the nature of the event.
When questioned, the content creator admitted to reserving the cafe and inviting his followers on social media without obtaining the required permits, aiming to increase viewership and generate financial profit. He had prior allegations related to “public decency and misuse of social media.”
The public prosecution is handling the investigation, and the cafe has been closed in coordination with relevant authorities.
