Egyptian security authorities revealed details of an alleged assault involving a content creator and several women against a mother and her daughter in Mokattam

Egypt's Ministry of Interior revealed details surrounding a video circulated on social media that allegedly showed a content creator assaulting a woman and her daughter in Cairo's Mokattam district.

Details of the Mokattam Assault

The incident began after a woman filed a report at the Mokattam Police Department. She was accompanied by her 8-year-old daughter, and both reportedly sustained various cuts and bruises.

According to the report, the woman accused a housewife and her four daughters, including a content creator, of assaulting her and her daughter following a dispute related to children playing.

Alleged Threats Against the Complainant

The woman later reported that the accused allegedly confronted her again after learning that she had filed a police report.

She also alleged that she and her daughter were threatened with harm in an attempt to pressure her into withdrawing the complaint.

Residents subsequently reported that the accused had gathered stones and empty bottles, allegedly preparing to use them against the woman and her daughter.

Clash With Security Forces

Security forces arrived at the scene to control the situation. According to the Interior Ministry, the accused individuals and their father threw stones and empty bottles toward the officers.

One police officer sustained a scalp injury during the incident. Authorities also reported deliberate damage inside the residence and injuries sustained by some of those involved.

Content Creator Allegedly Broadcasts Videos

Authorities said the content creator recorded and broadcast videos on her social media account, claiming that she and her family had been assaulted by security forces.

The Interior Ministry stated that these claims were contrary to the facts established during the investigation.

Drugs Found in the Father's Possession

Authorities also reported that the housewife had previously been accused in a case involving thuggery, while her husband had previously been accused in cases involving theft and drug trafficking.

The women's father was also arrested and allegedly found in possession of a quantity of a powdered narcotic substance. According to authorities, he admitted possessing the drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The necessary legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution is conducting investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and the legal responsibilities of those involved.
