The New Cairo Misdemeanor Court has sentenced the man widely known as “Amir El-Helaly,” famous for car-related fraud schemes, to two years in prison with labor and immediate enforcement, along with a bail of 30,000 EGP and legal expenses, while referring the civil case to the competent court.

The ruling follows investigations accusing the defendant of seizing large sums of money from citizens by falsely promising to import luxury vehicles without fulfilling contractual obligations.

Lawyer Ahmed Samy El-Meligy, representing one of the victims, stated that the submitted legal memorandum proved the case was not a simple commercial dispute, but a professional fraud model based on fake entities and misleading business appearances to deceive victims and steal their savings.

The defense clarified that the defendant repeatedly followed the same criminal pattern, showing disregard for previous rulings and the rights of victims who lost years of hard-earned money within moments.

The memorandum stressed that such crimes go beyond individual harm and threaten trust in financial transactions, requiring firm legal intervention to achieve public and private deterrence.

The defense demanded the maximum legal penalty, along with restitution and compensation for victims, to ensure justice and deter anyone attempting to manipulate citizens’ funds.

According to the complaint, the defendant deceived a victim into paying about €36,988 to import a 2023 Mercedes-Benz C180 under a 2024 contract, without delivering the vehicle or refunding the money.

The incident occurred at the company’s headquarters in New Cairo, where organized deceptive methods were used, including exploiting the company’s name and luxurious premises to give a false sense of legitimacy, while investigations indicate other victims with large financial losses.
