Drug Addict Steals Zakat Box from Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed Mosque in Al-Zawya Al-Hamra
Egyptian police arrested a man accused of stealing a zakat donation box from Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed Mosque in Al-Zawya Al-Hamra, after he confessed he needed the money to buy drugs.
Cairo security forces have uncovered the details of a theft that took place inside **Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed Mosque** in **Al-Zawya Al-Hamra**, where a **drug addict** stole the **zakat donation box** to fund his addiction.
Police received a report from one of the mosque workers about the missing donation box. A team of investigators reviewed security footage and identified the suspect, who was later **arrested near the mosque** before he managed to open the box and steal the cash inside.
During interrogation, the suspect **confessed to the theft**, admitting that he intended to use the stolen money to buy drugs. Legal procedures have been initiated, and the case was referred to the **Public Prosecution** for further investigation.
