In a deeply tragic incident, the joy of Eid turned into sorrow in a village in Minya after three children lost their lives in a devastating accident.
According to initial findings, the children had traveled from Cairo to spend the holiday with their grandfather in the countryside. What began as a joyful family visit ended in tragedy when a three-wheeled vehicle overturned and fell into a canal.
The accident resulted in the drowning of three children, including siblings, who were unable to escape the المياه, leaving the community in shock and grief.
Medical reports confirmed that the cause of death was suffocation due to drowning, with no suspicion of criminal involvement. Authorities responded quickly, retrieving the bodies and transferring them to the hospital for further procedures.
The village witnessed a large funeral procession, as hundreds gathered to bid farewell to the children, in an atmosphere filled with sorrow, prayers, and tears.
Residents have since called for stricter control over unlicensed vehicles, particularly three-wheelers, to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
