An eyewitness present during the widely shared Al-Mahwar Road bus incident has shared a different account than what circulated on social media. According to him, the images and videos do not reflect the full events inside the bus.
In a Facebook post, the eyewitness said: "People close to me know I never stay silent if someone is harmed, but what happened on the bus was different."
He added: "The girl suddenly screamed that someone had stolen from her, which drew passengers around her. Later, she claimed the young man harassed her. I was there—I didn’t see any harassment or theft."
Most passengers confirmed the same account, and the young man was moved to the back of the bus while other passengers stood by until the police arrived. The authorities found nothing conclusive.
The eyewitness continued: "The situation escalated after the girl played a video and started shouting, while the young man remained silent for a long time before exchanging words. The viral clip only shows the part that supports her version."
