Zamalek SC has filed an official complaint with authorities after a fake mobile application surfaced claiming to provide services to its members.
According to the report, the app promoted services such as membership renewals and access to sports activities, leading some users to interact with it before realizing it had no official connection to the club.
Security authorities received the complaint from a club official, expressing concern over the unauthorized use of the club’s name in what appears to be a fraudulent scheme targeting members.
Legal action has been initiated, and the case has been referred to the relevant prosecution authorities for investigation, while efforts are ongoing to identify those behind the creation of the app.
Investigations are currently focused on tracking the individuals responsible and determining the extent of their involvement in exploiting the club’s name for illegal financial gain.
