A minor fire broke out at an electricity substation in Boulaq El-Dakrour but was quickly contained by civil defense forces, with no injuries or power disruptions reported.
Civil defense teams, in coordination with local security forces, successfully extinguished a minor fire that erupted inside an electricity substation operated by the Al-Motamadiya company in Boulaq El-Dakrour, Giza.
Initial inspections revealed that the fire originated from phase one of Transformer No. 1, following the collapse of an internal insulator. The built-in self-extinguishing system quickly controlled the flames, preventing the spread of fire and avoiding any casualties.
The alert was received by security forces through the operations room, prompting immediate deployment of investigation teams to the site to conduct an on-ground assessment.
Authorities confirmed there was no damage to the regional power grid. An official report was filed, and the incident is now under investigation by the Public Prosecution.
