A foreign woman of Egyptian origin submitted an official complaint accusing actor Mahmoud Hegazy of sexually assaulting her inside a prominent hotel in Cairo.
The woman stated that she met the actor through TikTok, and their acquaintance led to a meeting at the hotel. She claimed she served him tea in her room, and he requested to see the Nile River from the balcony before allegedly assaulting her and physically harming her for over an hour.
The complainant added that the incident occurred in early January, but she delayed reporting it due to direct threats from the actor, which caused her to remain silent before eventually contacting authorities.
Following the complaint, police detained Mahmoud Hegazy, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation. Both parties’ statements are being recorded, and surveillance footage and evidence are being reviewed to determine the legal course of action.
Artistically, Mahmoud Hegazy is a rising figure in Egyptian drama and cinema, having participated in works such as Al-Aroosa, Al-Ab Al-Rouhi, Kafr Delhab, Wanos, Harb Ahliya, Zelzal, YouTurn, and Jerry Al-Wuhous.
