A major traffic accident took place earlier today on the Cairo Ring Road in Maadi, involving four vehicles that collided, leading to a temporary traffic jam before authorities intervened to clear the scene and restore normal flow.

According to reports, the emergency operations room received a call about the crash, prompting security and ambulance teams to move quickly to the site. No fatalities have been reported so far, and an official report has been filed.

In a separate incident, the Regional Road in Qalyubia Governorate, near El-Sanafine toll station heading towards Sharqia, witnessed a collision between two cargo trucks, resulting in a massive fire that engulfed both vehicles.

Major General Ashraf Gaballah, Qalyubia’s Security Director, received a report from Major General Mohamed El-Battouti, Director of Traffic Administration, confirming the accident and the fire outbreak. Civil defense and traffic teams rushed to the location and successfully extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other vehicles.

Preliminary investigations suggest that speeding and loss of control were the main causes of the crash. No fatalities were recorded, and legal procedures have been initiated.
