Investigators in Itay El-Baroud, Beheira Governorate, have ordered the detention of a man accused of assaulting and robbing his mother for 4 days pending investigation, with renewal to follow within the legal timeframe.
The case began when security authorities in Beheira monitored a social media post from a woman accusing her son of expelling her from their home and seizing her monthly pension along with other personal belongings.
The police were able to identify the woman and question her, where she confirmed that her son had beaten her, forced her out of the house, and taken her possessions.
Following legal procedures, security forces arrested the suspect, filed an official report, and referred him to prosecutors who ordered his detention for 4 days pending investigation.
