The Cairo Economic Court, on Wednesday, decided to sentence the blogger known as “Madahim” to one year in prison and impose a fine of 100,000 EGP, following accusations of publishing visual content described as indecent through social media platforms.
Case documents revealed that the accused, whose real name is Mohamed Khaled, known as “Madahim,” had, on and before August 2, 2025, published and broadcast video clips on his TikTok accounts that included suggestive expressions, language, and behavior deemed to violate public morals and ethics.
Investigations and technical reports from relevant authorities, including the Information Technology Investigation Department and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, indicated that the clips in question contained content described as indecent and were published through the accused’s accounts for public viewing.
The investigation also charged the accused with creating and using his social media accounts to commit these acts, which the prosecution considered a public indecent act carried out via the internet.
This ruling comes as part of efforts to combat content that violates the law on social media platforms and to enforce legal measures against any abuses that affect public values or taste.
