The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has revealed the truth behind a video circulating on social media, in which a delivery worker alleged that a police officer in Giza confiscated his motorcycle without reason.

Upon investigation, authorities confirmed the claims were false. The incident occurred on the 2nd of this month, when a police officer lawfully seized a motorcycle parked on a Giza street for lacking license plates, in accordance with legal procedures.

Police identified the video’s uploader, a delivery worker residing in Kom Hamada, Beheira Governorate. During questioning, he admitted to posting the video online in an attempt to prevent legal action against his unregistered vehicle.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to confronting misinformation and urged citizens to verify information before sharing it on social media.
