Interior Ministry Uncovers Shocking Crime: Arrest of Suspects in Forcing a Child to Use Drugs
Egypt’s Interior Ministry revealed details of a widely circulated video showing a child being given drugs, leading to the arrest of the mother and the main suspect.
In a case that shocked public opinion, Egypt’s Ministry of Interior successfully uncovered the circumstances of a disturbing video that spread across social media platforms, showing a young child being forced to take narcotic substances by an individual in a scene marked by blatant disregard and recklessness.
Urgent Security Response
Following the circulation of the video, security authorities immediately began examining its content in detail. A specialized criminal investigation team was formed and managed to identify the woman appearing in the footage, who turned out to be the child’s mother, residing in the Naqada police district in Qena Governorate.
Arrest of the Mother and Child Rescue
After completing legal procedures, authorities arrested the mother along with her 5-year-old child, who appeared in the video. During questioning, she admitted the details of the incident, stating that the footage was recorded about a month ago while she was with a driver inside his residence in the city of Banha, Qalyubia Governorate.
Raid and Arrest of Main Suspect
Security forces also raided and arrested the driver accused in the case, who has prior criminal records. A quantity of “crystal meth powder” was found in his possession. Upon interrogation, he confessed to giving the drug to the child, claiming it was “for amusement” while under the influence of drugs himself, and admitted possessing narcotics for trafficking purposes.
Legal Measures
All necessary legal actions were taken, and the Public Prosecution was notified to continue investigations, amid public praise for the swift response of law enforcement in protecting the child and exposing the crime.
