Security authorities investigate mutual complaints between neighbors in Ismailia following a quarrel involving water-throwing and verbal accusations, amid rising tensions.
A residential building in Ismailia witnessed a neighbor dispute that escalated into official complaints. A woman posted a video on social media claiming that she and her sister were verbally threatened and harassed by neighbors, accusing them of attempting to seize her apartment and her sister’s apartment.
Details of the Mutual Complaints
On July 29, Abu Sawir Police Station received a complaint from a shop owner in the building, claiming that the woman and her sister threw water in front of his store, causing minor damage.
Later, three other shop owners in the same building filed complaints stating that the woman verbally assaulted them and threw water on their properties, escalating tensions between all parties.
Statements from the Woman and Neighbors
The woman stated that she had been subjected to ongoing harassment by her neighbors, and that one of them allegedly involved others to force her into signing promissory notes as a prelude to taking over her apartments.
The neighbors denied all allegations, asserting that the woman repeatedly acted aggressively, throwing water and verbally abusing them, which affected their daily lives and threatened their safety.
Legal Measures Taken
Authorities acted promptly to document all complaints and conduct necessary investigations. Official reports were filed for each party, and the cases were referred to the public prosecutor. Witnesses were summoned and video evidence verified to ensure the incident was accurately documented and legal procedures were fully followed.
