One person was killed and two others were injured on Sunday following a collision between two vehicles on the Ismailia–Suez Desert Road. The injured victims were transported to the hospital for treatment, while the deceased was transferred to the morgue pending the investigation.

Accident Details

Emergency services in Ismailia received a report of a collision involving two vehicles between Sinai Bridge and the Abu Samiha entrance, on the road heading toward Ismailia City.

Ambulances and security forces immediately responded to the scene, where they confirmed one fatality and two injuries.

Injured Victims

The injured were identified as:

  • Gamal Mohamed Salama Mahdy, 27, who suffered suspected pelvic and spinal fractures along with multiple bruises and abrasions.
  • Arafat Sabry El Shorbagy, 50, from Cairo, who sustained a suspected concussion and possible fractures in his left shoulder and left foot.

Both were transferred to Fayed Central Hospital for medical treatment.

Fatality

The deceased was identified as Tamer Samir Mahmoud, 47, a resident of Fanara, who died at the scene.

His body was transferred to the morgue at Fayed Hospital under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.

Investigation Underway

Police filed an official report and notified the relevant investigative authorities to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Traffic resumed after the damaged vehicles were cleared from the roadway.
