A horrifying tragedy has shaken Egypt after security forces in Giza revealed the details of a gruesome murder case in Faisal. Residents had reported discovering the body of a 13-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl suffering from severe poisoning, who later passed away.
Investigations quickly led police to identify and arrest the suspect — a pet shop owner living in the same area. During questioning, the man confessed to the crime, admitting that he had been in a relationship with the children's mother, who lived with him and her three children in a rented apartment.
The suspect said that upon discovering her "immoral behavior," he decided to kill her. On the 21st of this month, he mixed a poisonous substance, obtained from his shop, into a cup of juice and offered it to her. When she began to feel ill, he took her to a hospital, claiming she was his wife, then fled after registering under a false name.
Days later, on the 24th, he decided to kill her children as well. He took them on an outing, added the same poison to their drinks, and served it to them. One of the children, aged six, refused to drink, prompting the killer to throw him into a nearby canal, where his body was later recovered.
The remaining two children showed severe symptoms of poisoning, and the suspect — with the help of an unsuspecting worker and tuk-tuk driver — transported them to the location where they were found.
Authorities have initiated legal action against the man, who now faces charges of premeditated murder. Investigations continue to uncover all aspects of this harrowing case.
