Karma’s Lawyer Reveals Updates: No Intent to Reconcile as Her Health Deteriorates
Lawyer Rabie El-Khalaili, defending Karma — the student assaulted in the Capital School incident — confirmed her worsening health and psychological state, stressing that there is no intention to reconcile with the accused students.
The case of student Karma, victim of the violent altercation at Capital School in New Cairo, continues to capture public attention after her lawyer, Rabie El-Khalaili, revealed that her condition has severely worsened both physically and psychologically. He affirmed that no reconciliation will take place with the three accused students.
El-Khalaili explained that Karma was unable to attend the latest court session at the Amiriya Court due to continuous nosebleeds and a nasal septum obstruction causing breathing difficulties and restless sleep. He added that she is suffering from deep emotional trauma, frequent crying, and social withdrawal since the incident.
Meanwhile, the accused students were absent from the court session, as the defense demanded the harshest possible punishment, emphasizing that the case was not a mere school fight but a premeditated assault leading to a serious injury classified by forensic reports as a permanent disability.
The lawyer further stated that justice in this case would represent a moral and emotional healing for Karma and her family after the trauma they endured.
The case remains under judicial review, while public opinion calls for stricter penalties against those involved in school violence to protect students and maintain safe educational environments.
