The Criminal Court of Qena has sentenced an employee of a private company in Qous, South Qena, to life imprisonment for stealing money from his company’s safe.
The incident dates back to 2023, when authorities received a report about the theft from the company safe. After intensive investigations and questioning of employees, the perpetrator was identified as one of the company’s staff.
Investigations revealed that the employee disguised himself in women’s clothing to avoid detection and succeeded in stealing the cash. After confirming his identity, he was apprehended and referred to the Public Prosecution, which subsequently transferred the case to the criminal court, resulting in the life sentence.
