Man arrested for assaulting his brother’s wife in Dakahlia after family dispute
Security forces in Dakahlia arrested a man who assaulted his brother’s wife, following the circulation of a video showing the incident on social media.
Egyptian security authorities in Dakahlia revealed the details of an incident where a man assaulted his brother’s wife inside her home, after a video of the assault went viral on social media showing the woman complaining about being beaten and insulted, and her apartment vandalized.
Investigations confirmed that on September 24, Al-Sinbillawain Police Station received a report from the suspect’s father stating that his son had attacked his brother’s wife, verbally and physically, due to ongoing family disputes.
Police forces promptly arrested the suspect, who confessed to committing the assault as mentioned in the video.
The Ministry of Interior stated that legal measures were taken, and both parties were referred to the Public Prosecution, where they later reconciled after settling their family differences
