Egyptian security authorities revealed the details of an incident involving damage to a journalist’s car in Giza after a video circulated online, leading to the arrest of the suspect
Security authorities at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances surrounding an incident in which a journalist’s car was damaged in Giza after a video about the case spread on social media.
According to the official statement, the Al-Haram Police Station received a report on the 9th of the current month from a journalist residing in Cairo, stating that a shop owner in the same district had caused damage to her vehicle.
Following investigations and examination of the incident, police were able to identify and arrest the suspect. When confronted with the accusations, he admitted to committing the act as described in the report.
The suspect reportedly stated during questioning that the dispute occurred after the journalist parked her car in front of his shop, which led to an argument that escalated into him damaging the vehicle.
Authorities confirmed that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect, and the case has been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation.
