Man Denies Suicide Rumors After Train Incident in Minya
The man involved in the Minya train incident denied reports claiming he attempted suicide, explaining that he was only trying to avoid paying the ticket fine.
Egyptian security authorities have revealed details regarding reports circulating online about a man allegedly attempting suicide aboard a train in Minya.
Upon investigation, the individual was identified and detained. He was found to be a worker residing in the Abu Qurqas district of Minya.
During questioning, he completely denied attempting to take his own life, explaining that he merely tried to get off the moving train to evade paying for his ticket and the accompanying fine, but changed his mind fearing he might fall and injure himself.
Security officials confirmed that the necessary legal measures were taken and dismissed the circulating suicide claims as false.
