The New Cairo Court of Appeal scheduled March 2 for the first session of presenter Sara Khalifa’s trial over allegedly filming a young man in her bedroom in the district.
Earlier, the Cairo Criminal Court postponed the trial of defendants in the widely reported drug production case, including Sara Khalifa, to February 28.
The lawyer of one defendant stated that Sara Khalifa’s brother denied knowing about the incident during investigations, noting that he was arrested inside the apartment without seeing the search or arrest warrants.
The lawyer emphasized that presenting the search warrant is a crucial element in the case and could potentially shift the proceedings toward acquittal, as prior investigations were reportedly not conducted seriously.
