Fatal Collision in Assiut: Minibus Crashes with Motorcycle
A tragic accident on the Deir Refa village road in Assiut resulted in one death and one injury following a collision between a minibus and a motorcycle. Authorities investigate the incident.
A tragic collision occurred today, Tuesday, on the Deir Refa village road in Assiut between a minibus and a motorcycle, leaving one person dead and another injured with multiple bruises.
Assiut Security Directorate, headed by Major General Wael Nassar, received a notification from the Assiut Police Station regarding the incident. Police officers and ambulance crews rushed to the scene, where it was confirmed that the minibus collided with the motorcycle, resulting in the death of 43-year-old Atef M. M., whose body was transferred to Al-Iman General Hospital morgue.
The injured, 44-year-old Morsi A. M., sustained multiple bruises and was taken to Al-Iman General Hospital for treatment.
The police filed an official report, while the Public Prosecution is investigating the causes of the accident, including vehicle speed and adherence to traffic rules, to determine whether negligence or unavoidable circumstances led to the collision.
