Neighbor Describes Residents’ Concerns

A neighbor of the pharmacist accused of assaulting a security guard in New Cairo described what she said was an ongoing atmosphere of fear and intimidation among residents of the building and surrounding area.

She said residents and their children were increasingly concerned for their safety and property, adding that residents had filed several complaints over the past period.

According to her account, administrative officials visited the location on several occasions but were allegedly unable to take action against the accused.

Complaints Over Dogs and Alleged Threats

The neighbor said the accused keeps around five dogs, which she described as aggressive.

She alleged that the dogs sometimes enter the building’s stairways while residents are going up and down, causing fear among those living there.

Dispute Inside the Building

According to the neighbor’s account, the accused was involved in an argument inside the building around a week to 10 days earlier, during which she alleged that he used offensive language.

She also accused him of threatening residents and damaging their cars, and alleged that he threatened to blow up the building after opening the gas supply.

These allegations remain subject to examination and verification by the competent investigative authorities.

Neighbor Says She Left Her Home

The neighbor said the situation had become so frightening that she left her home and went to stay in Sheikh Zayed.

She explained that residents were worried about their children going to school and family members going to work, particularly because the building includes young children and elderly residents.
