Next Saturday: Temporary Closure of 26th of July Corridor Near Misr University for Pedestrian Bridge Installation
Giza Traffic Department announced a temporary full closure of the 26th of July corridor in front of Misr University next Saturday to lift the pedestrian bridge for the Misr University Monorail Station, part of the 6th of October Monorail project.
The Giza Traffic Department has announced new traffic arrangements in preparation for construction works related to the Wadi El-Nile – 6th of October Monorail Project, which include lifting the pedestrian bridge at the Misr University Monorail Station.
As part of these works, a temporary full closure will be applied to the 26th of July corridor in front of Misr University for one day only — Saturday, October 11, 2025 — from 12:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Authorities confirmed that traffic services and police patrols will be deployed to manage vehicle flow, secure the work site, and direct drivers toward alternative routes to prevent congestion.
The department urged all drivers to adhere to instructions and follow traffic guidance for their safety, emphasizing that the closure is part of the continuous development of transportation infrastructure and the modernization of major roads in Giza.
