Worker Arrested Over False Claims Against Nozha Shop Owner

Egyptian security authorities uncovered the truth behind a social media complaint against a shop owner in Nozha, finding that the worker had received his full financial dues.

Egypt’s Ministry of Interior security authorities have revealed details of a social media post accompanied by a photograph in which the person who published it complained about a shop owner, alleging that he had failed to pay his financial dues and allowed people to work at the shop without valid residency permits in Cairo.

After investigating the complaint, authorities identified the shop owner and examined the claims made against him.

Details of the Complaint Against the Shop Owner

Authorities determined that the shop owner is a foreign national with a valid residency permit and lives within the jurisdiction of the Nozha Police Department.

The investigation also found that the shop was properly licensed.

The business employed five Egyptian women, as well as another foreign national whose residency in Egypt was confirmed to be valid.

Shop Owner Explains What Happened

When questioned about the complaint, the shop owner said that the complainant had previously worked at his business.

He stated that he ended the worker’s employment in June 2026, alleging that the worker had repeatedly harassed female employees at the shop.

The owner also said that he had previously filed a police report at the Nozha Police Department on July 29, documenting the worker’s departure from the job and confirming that he had received all of his financial dues.

Worker Who Published the Post Arrested

Security authorities arrested the worker who published the social media post. He was found to be living within the jurisdiction of the El Marg Police Department.

During questioning, the worker reportedly admitted that he had received all of his financial dues from the shop owner.

According to the Ministry of Interior, he also admitted that he had recently published the post containing false claims in an attempt to retaliate against the shop owner.
