Qena Court Fines Woman EGP 20,000 for Blackmailing Her Manager

A misdemeanor court in Qena fined a woman EGP 20,000 after convicting her of blackmailing her manager by threatening to publish his private photos and conversations.

The Qena Misdemeanor Court has sentenced a woman to pay a fine of EGP 20,000 after she was convicted of blackmailing her manager at work. The woman had threatened to publish his private photos and conversations unless he paid her money.

The case began when security authorities in Qena received a complaint from the victim, who reported that one of his employees had blackmailed him and demanded money in exchange for not disclosing his private content.

The police arrested the woman following legal procedures, and she was referred to the Public Prosecution, which carried out investigations and referred her to trial.

After reviewing the evidence and hearing statements from both parties, the court ruled to fine the woman EGP 20,000 and apply the necessary legal measures.
