Authorities said that no official report had initially been filed regarding the incident. Investigations later identified the person who shared the post and led to the arrest of the four individuals allegedly involved.
Details of the Incident Involving Rahma Essam’s Car
According to the Interior Ministry, the woman who shared the post, a resident of Nasr City in Cairo, said that on August 29, she was driving on a highway in Gharbia accompanied by her driver and assistant.
She reportedly encountered four people standing beside the road near a motorcycle. One of them allegedly threw a piece of stone at her vehicle, breaking the rear window.
No injuries were reported, and she continued driving without immediately reporting the incident to the authorities.
Four Suspects Arrested in Gharbia
Security forces identified and arrested the four suspects, who were described as street vendors residing in the Sennta area of Gharbia.
Authorities also found that three of them had previously been accused in cases involving drug use and arson.
Two motorcycles belonging to two of the suspects were also seized. Both motorcycles were found to have no license plates.
Suspects Admit Throwing the Stone
During questioning, the suspects admitted to being involved in the incident.
They stated that they had been standing beside the road while using drugs, while one of them claimed that he threw the stone at the vehicle as an act of horseplay.
The incident resulted in damage to the car’s rear window but caused no injuries.
The two motorcycles were seized, and legal procedures were initiated against the suspects.
