Festival singer Issam Sasa and all the other accused were absent from their second court session today regarding the “nightclub fight” case in Maadi. The absence came as the accused had not completed the necessary legal procedures, according to Sasa’s lawyer, Hossam Youssef.
The session was postponed until all legal procedures are completed, with efforts for reconciliation from some parties. The case is expected to see further developments in the coming period.
The incident dates back to a fight inside a nightclub on Maadi Corniche, which resulted in injuries to several people and damage to the venue and multiple vehicles.
Security authorities had arrested Issam Sasa and the other accused to present them to Dar Al-Salam Prosecution after a verbal argument escalated into a physical fight between the festival team and the nightclub security. During his escape, Sasa’s car collided with a motorcycle, forcing him to abandon the vehicle and flee the scene.
