The Cairo Criminal Court, convened in the Fifth Settlement, postponed the trial of producer Sarah Khalifa for filming and sexually assaulting a young man in her residence to April 7, allowing time for the prosecution and defense to present their arguments.
The Public Prosecution had referred Sarah Khalifa and 27 others to the Cairo New Criminal Court for charges related to importing, manufacturing, and trafficking narcotics, alongside documented assault incidents.
Investigations revealed that the defendants formed an organized criminal group to manufacture narcotics for trafficking by importing raw materials, producing them, and distributing them. They used a residential property as a base for storage and production, with total seized substances exceeding 750 kilograms of manufactured drugs and raw materials. Authorities had also ordered the freezing of the defendants’ funds and bank accounts prior to referral to the criminal court.
