In a move reflecting intensified monitoring, security authorities arrested 10 women in Dakahlia Governorate after investigations confirmed their involvement in activities violating public morals through digital platforms.
According to inquiries, the suspects — including four with prior criminal records — used mobile phone applications to advertise themselves and promote immoral acts, targeting clients in exchange for financial payments without discrimination.
After completing legal procedures, the women were apprehended. Three mobile phones were seized, and technical examination revealed digital evidence supporting their illegal activity, including conversations, images, and contact methods linked to the advertisements.
When confronted with the evidence, the suspects admitted to the accusations and their involvement in the reported activities. Legal measures were taken, and the case was referred to competent authorities for further investigation.
These actions come as part of ongoing efforts to protect society from practices that undermine public values and to combat the misuse of technology for unlawful activities.
