In recent hours, social media platforms have circulated rumors alleging that around 500 dogs were poisoned in the Hadayek Al-Ahram district of Giza, sparking concern among residents and online users.
An official security source denied the claims, stressing that there is no truth to these reports and that no official complaints or police reports have been filed regarding any mass dog poisoning in the area.
The source added that such information is nothing more than unfounded rumors spread online, urging citizens to verify the accuracy of news before sharing it on social media.
